Delve into the wonderful and creative world of junk journaling with Ali Phillips, aka CraftyAli, a designer, maker and producer of personal and business stationery and crafted items (see attached).

Taking place on Saturday 31st May from 10.30am to 3.30pm, this workshop is for adults of all levels and no previous experience is necessary. It will be in two parts:

Session 1 - Create a simple folded notebook using traditional bookbinding techniques and hand tools such as needle and thread, hammer and awl, craft knife and metal ruler, a bone folder and cutting mat. It's a simple and fun process and great for making your own notebook gifts or to use as a daily journal, travelogue, etc. You will have the opportunity to make two small notebooks to take home.

Session 2 - Create a wire-bound 'junk journal' using a binding machine. Choosing a variety of papers, cards, old book pages and envelopes to bind together, you will make a journal style notebook which will be completely unique to you! There will also be discussions on the craft and the popularity of junk journaling and its various uses. You will make one small blank journal to take home and decorate to your heart's content! Fabulous for memory keeping, keeping track of your artistic journey and scrapbooking - the artistic purposes are endless.

All materials and equipment will be provided and there will be lots of example notebooks for inspiration. There will also be tools, supplies and ready made notebooks for sale at the end of the event.

The workshop is open to members and non members and priced £35 and £40 respectively.
